The power play: Justine apologizes for her behavior. She asks Tommy to wear a new uniform from her sponsors during their practice session at the club. While practicing, maintenance crews notice a man wearing their uniform on the courts. They call in a manager and security. Tommy is pulled off the court and interrogated for being a maintenance worker attempting to impersonate a coach. Justine stands idly by and pretends not to know Tommy.
Gloria watches Tommy work out in the gym. He sees her in the mirrors watching… then something else- she’s masturbating!?! Is she doing it thinking she’s out of sight? Maybe, until their eyes lock in the mirror.

Roost flips a switch on a ball machine. Young Tommy is pelted with balls… he begins to drown in tennis balls as they collect. Trace snaps Tommy back to reality; he shows Tommy renderings of the school, Tommy Nolasco College Preparatory Academy. Tommy should be emotional- a dream achieved- but he feels nothing.
Olivia searches out a former US Open security guard. On her way into the meeting, she does some breathing and recites
some pop lyrics. If there was any locker room security footage of the finals- showing a locker room meeting between Trace and Tommy- it would be deleted by now. She runs around town filling out applications at coffee shops and retail stores. At a low point, she gets an interview request from TheRinger.com for a sports contributor position.
